The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) International Inc. Is a non-profit organization that helps foreign educated healthcare professionals live and work in the country of their choice by assessing and validating their academic and professional credentials. They are the world's largest credential evaluation organization for nursing and allied health professions since 1977. They have helped over 30 milion healthcare professionals from 189 countries. 

Challenge

  • Create an online community portal that would allow foreign nursing professionals the ability to apply online and provide documents electronically to be assessed and validated by CGFNS International​

  • Create an online community portal that allows for Higher Education Institutions and Licensing Authorities the ability to electronically validate and upload nursing credentials​

  • Build out all components of Credential Evaluation, Nursing Education, Healthcare Education and Migration​

  • Provide Secure payment processing​

  • Allow for both the applicant and CGFNS International to securely track the status of applicant’s form and submitted documents​

  • Provide the ability to generate PDF forms from the submitted information to be sent out upon validation of the credentials

Solution

  • Created a Salesforce Community Cloud solution where applicants can create their academic and employment history profile, apply online, submit their documents, and track the status of their application​

  • Created a Salesforce Experience Site where institutional and licensing authority representations can confirm applicant degrees and certifications ​

  • Built custom Salesforce objects and automations to manage business processes and rules​

  • Integrated Chargent Payment Processing with Salesforce to securely process payments and convert currency from different countries​

  • Setup email notifications and created custom objects for applicants to securely login and view the status of their application and documents​

  • Integrated Conga Composer with Salesforce to generate PDF forms from the submitted information

Result

  • Applicants submit their application electronically rather than handwritten and mail​

  • Institutions submit applicant’s transcripts, curriculums, certifications, etc. electronically rather than mailing to CGFNS​

  • Reduced processing time and increased security on application data.​

  • Significantly reduced paperwork and printing tasks for CGFNS.​
