Pennsylvania Humanities Council (PHC) is an independent nonprofit partner of the Nation Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and was created in 1973 with two goals in mind: (1) advancing knowledge and understanding of the humanities and (2) increasing public awareness of, access to, and support for the humanities in PA. In addition to their programs and initiatives to advance these goals, They also make grants to humanity organizations in the state, funded by NEH and other organizations.
